Project Goals

Involve and empower as many local Nicaraguan people as possible in all aspects of the project
Maximize health and sanitation solutions to improve the livelihood of rural Nicaraguans and their respective communities
Promote the value of early childhood education amongst rural families and work to improve attendance rates
Conduct education and outreach initiatives in Canada to help create awareness of the less fortunate throughout the world and promote dialogue about possible outlets where an individual’s talents and abilities can be used as catalysts of change
Find sustainable funding sources to ensure the project’s longevity
Demonstrate that it only takes a moment of one’s time to give someone hope for the future

 Preschool Teacher's Conference

Project Nicaragua’s first Teacher’s conference was held in San Juan del Sur on Thursday, January 8th, 2009 where all 26 preschool teachers were invited to attend. The main focus of the conference was to provide teachers with the "tools" needed to educate their students.
